The history of Formacultura
FORMAcultura was born in 1999 with the ambition to enhance cultural heritage and tourism in an innovative way. The working group is made up of archaeologists, art historians, didactic experts, 2D and 3D graphic designers and modelers. We are specialized in the production of models to build. Our products are present in the bookshops of all the major Italian museums, but also in Europe and Asia.
Products
We create models to build that reproduce monuments and specific subjects on commission. The very high quality of detail makes our products unique in the world. We work on two production lines. Buildable paper templates to cut, fold and glue, with very high quality photographic textures. 3D puzzle to be assembled in wood, laser cut and engraved directly in our laboratory.
Made in Italy
Our production, from design to packaging, is handcrafted and entirely made in Italy. To protect the environment, our packaging is FSC certified. Our Made in Italy makes our products unique, recognizable and successful all over the world.
Innovation
The paper models are made with the innovative use of photographic textures for a realistic result. The wood kit are cut and engraved using high tecnology laser to create perfect fits and particular details. In our laboratory we use the latest generations laser cutting machines to process our products accurately and quickly. The flexibility of the work team and the availability of the machines allows us to work on multiple products at the same time.

It takes time to build a model, from a few minutes to an hour depending on the difficulty. The manual action of the construction generates an effective and lasting memorability unattainable by any other gadget
High-quality selected materials. Precious woods engraved and cut with the latest generation laser. Important papers, selected to be modeled and treated to last over time.
The entire production process is carried out in our laboratories from design to packaging. Two laser machines allow us to directly produce the prototypes. The production capacity starts from a few hundred pieces to tens of thousands. Internal production guarantees certain times for prototypes and deliveries.
Paper: With the 3D Postcard, over 70 models, we entered the most important museums in Italy, from the Mole Antonelliana in Turin to the Zisa in Palermo, passing from the Uffizi in Florence and the archaeological site of Pompeii. The two winning points: low price and high runs.
Wood: WoodART, the easy-to-assemble and detailed wooden puzzle. We have developed a technique for double-sided laser engraving even on small pieces for an effect of absolute realism. WoodART turned out to be the exclusive gadget that makes the difference.

It is enough to know how to exploit the potential, as did MUVE, the foundation of the Civic Museums of Venice, which has adopted our models to set up educational workshops for children. Or the structures that have customized our WoodARTs to present the latest restoration, an anniversary or simply to promote their business in a nice and innovative way.
